where Should we Go For Location Shots?
One of our favourite corporate shoots on location sessions has been with the guys from Deep Fix Recordings. Col, Wes, Bri, Robbie & little Harry, wanted to do a North East corporate shoot on location. We are really lucky because we have a fantastic coastline. In addition, we have many local beauty spots.
With fans from around the world, they wanted to show them the North East and where they come from. So we discussed local landmarks:
- Tyne Bridge
- Millennium Bridge
- Swing Bridge
- High Level Bridge
- Newcastle Keep
- Quayside
- Angel of The North
- St Marys Lighthouse
- Souter Lighthouse
- The Customs House
- South Shields Beech
- The Groin at South Shields
- Mill Dam
- Lumley Castle
- Hylton Castle
- an old wall full of Graffiti

Where Did We Go?
Early one Sunday morning we set off to visit as many locations as we could.
- Millennium Bridge
- Newcastle Keep
- High Level Bridge
Similarly, we found the graffiti wall. Following this we headed back across the River Tyne and headed for The Customs House at South Shields, the Stage Door hit a cord (excuse the pun) with the guys. Next, we headed up Mill Dam, and used the beautiful old red brick wall which is the only part of the Pit Laundry building left. The guys turned into their favourite characters for the “Reservoir Dogs” shot, walking back down Mill Dam. Finally, we finished off at The beech, where the Groin was a must.

Corporate Shoots On Location – What Should We Wear?
We were looking to have a fun and relaxed on location shoot, we advised the guys to wear something that they would be comfortable in, if they had corporate t-shirts they would be perfect. A new range of merchandise arrived just in time for their shoot, so this was the perfect opportunity to show off their new t-shirt’s with their logo on.

Why Choose To Do Your Corporate Shoot On Location
A location shoot using a local beauty spot, your office, home, local cafe or hotel where you work, is a familiar environment for you, resulting in the possible pro’s & con’s listed below.
The Pro’s
- Your corporate images are unique to you. They wont look like others as they will be in a location you choose, and the will help you stand out from your competitors.
- Many people feel more relaxed and less self-conscious, as the location you have chosen will be familiar to you.
- The location you choose can bring some character and individuality to your corporate images
The Con’s
- Some offices can be dark, busy and cramped. It may be difficult to create the right image for you in your office. Wall Planners, old family photographs and computer wires would all need to be removed to show a nice clean background behind you
- If the weather is bad your location shoot may have to be postponed.
- In my studio, I have full control over my lighting. Location photography is more dependent on good weather & natural lighting
I would love to work with you to capture your corporate images and headshots, either in my studio or on location. Your professional images are a valuable marketing asset that showcases your professionalism and even though you may not realise it is an essential piece of your branding.
